PAUL McCARTNEY ANNOUNCES FIRST 2014 U.S. DATES

PAUL McCARTNEY ANNOUNCES FIRST 2014 U.S. DATES
Paul McCartney has just announced the first four U.S. stops for his North American Out There Tour. The ongoing trek, which will hit South America, Japan, and South Korea over the next two months, has a total of four U.S. dates on the books for New Orleans, Louisiana on June 19th; Louisville, Kentucky on June 26th; Albany, New York on July 5th; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 7th. Additional North American dates will be announced soon.

In addition to the 2014 concerts, since kicking off in Brazil last year, “Macca’s” Out There Tour has already played legs in North and South America, Europe, and Japan.

  • Paul McCartney explained that life on the road these days is a world away from how the Beatles toured in then 1960′s: “The beginning of the Beatles’ whole thing, before it really all took off; we used to put to guitars and a bass into one amp. So, I mean, there’s a major difference now — no one would think of doing that now. You didn’t take P.A.’s around, you’d just use the microphone in the hall. A couple of little speakers along the side. So, the technology has just gone mad, y’know? It’s good, it means you can go play big places. It means you can play to an audience of 100,000, or something. Whereas we took ‘round, like, one roadie — now, you take around 140 people, y’know it’s (exaggerated voice) it’s quite a business, now.”  :    April 21 – Santiago, Chile – Movistar Arena    April 25 – Lima, Peru – Estadio Nacional    April  28 – Quito, Ecuador – Estadio de Liga Deportiva Universitara de Quito    May 1 – San Jose, Costa Rica – Estadio Nacional    May 17, 18 – Tokyo, Japan – National Stadium    May 24 – Osaka, Japan – Yanmar Stadium Nagai    May 28 – Seoul, South Korea – Jamsil Sports Complex Main Stadium June 19 – New Orleans, LA – Smoothie King Center    June 26 – Louisville, KY – KFC Yum!
