BOSTON ADDS NEW U.S. DATES

Boston has just tagged six new stops onto its summer tour. The band, which is on the road in support of its latest album, Love, Life, And Hope, has new dates on the books for Rancho Mirage, California; Asheville, North Carolina; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Prior Lake and Bemidji, Minnesota; and Wenatchee, Washington.

We asked leader Tom Scholz if Boston’s record label all but wrestling the master tapes away from him in 1978 for the band’s second album, Don’t Look Back, was the turning point in which he took on absolute control of his music: “Essentially, yes. That was the last time I let that happen. The album wasn’t complete and I decided next time. . . and it was an amazing stroke of luck that there was enough of it done that it could’ve been released at all.”
