BILLY JOEL HEADING TO BAT AT PHILLY’S CITIZENS BANK PARK

BILLY JOEL HEADING TO BAT AT PHILLY’S CITIZENS BANK PARK
On Saturday (August 2nd), Billy Joel hits Philadelphia’s Citizens Band Park — marking not only his final ballpark stadium gig of the summer, but his last non-New York City show of the year. Like his Columbia Records labelmate, Bruce Springsteen, Philly has long been a stronghold of die-hard Billy fans and his arena shows at The Spectrum during the ‘70s and ‘80s have become the stuff of legend. Back in 1981, for his Songs In The Attic live collection, Billy tipped his cap to his Philly fans, by including a roaring July 1980 rendition of “Captain Jack” recorded at The Spectrum.
